I think our board (and some of our fans too) had this sense of complacency that "how could anybody reject FC Barcelona?" despite multiple episodes of such happening before.

We are no longer as dominant and appealing as we were before, even though we are still in the top tier. The fact that we have not won the CL in many years does not help either. We are losing that aura a bit. Money matters a lot, playing time matters a lot, the lime light matters a lot these days.

They need to wake up and smell the coffee and stop taking things for granted. Compete for talent really hard and stop assuming everyone will kill to join us automatically.

These guys apparently didn't know about Neymar fucking off until the end of July. Everyone and their mother knew this but them. I believe it's arrogance coupled with stupidity. Suffice to say they demonstrated enough ineptitude and incompetence to be ousted by now but here we are on the second straight summer of soap opera situation and these guys still plead innocence/lack of information.
