Surprising from Setien but then again his recent words about veterans suggests this is a board mandate, making him a yes man ala Valverde

We needed pace to get behind Aguirre's back line of 5 defenders and considering he still has no on pitch chemistry with Leo, boggles the mind. Braithwaite was the logical option to lead the line

I am starting to miss Coutinho. Antoine is not fit for this team in any way shape or form. I don't know if it's the system's the coach's, his teammates' or his fault.

one problem i saw yesterday, he always wanted the ball at his feet rather than make runs into the channels, think someone mentioned it in another thread, our attack is chaos because everyone wants to *create* but not make penetrative runs

He made a lot if runs behind oposition back but he never get the ball

nah bro, for the entire first half he was very tentative, waiting for the ball to come at his feet. only in the second half when ansu came off, he made a "few" mind you he scored the offside goal from a central position then reverted back to his tentative, waiting for the ball self. im not saying he cant learn. i'm saying he has to learn. right now he's still playing like he's under simeone.

He's never the type to make runs anyway; not fast enough, weak. Even if he has the ball, he would just pass it to leo or pass it backwards in face of the slightest pressure. the offside goal he scored was a very simple tap-in, the most basic trait a striker can do, even Braithwaite. But what separates the good from the bad is the ability to dribble, accelerate, composed in the box even with huge horde of defenders, and the instinct to shoot and lastly great shooting power and technique. Even Fati and Braithwaite both excel in these areas, clearly antoine is not a striker but a extremely poor man's Messi, who is hyped for the wrong reasons and only excels in a defensive minded team, let alone barca

Lets just put it this way, he's simply terrible in front of goal unless its a simple tap in, and even if he makes runs all day. Not the right guy for us.
