what I can't understand with Turan is why he always commits unnecessary fouls. As soon as he came in to replace Messi he causes a foul that - unfortunately - led to a goal. Both Piqué and Mascherano seemed unprepared for the quick freekick and the rest is history.
Anyway, Arda Turan is committing too many fouls - or is he a favorite scapegoat of La Liga referees?

I'm certainly not against giving Lucho scorn when he deserves it, which is pretty damn often.

I don't think he was particularly bad either, he was just the wrong player for the wrong situation. Whether or not Rafinha or Denis would have done better is just a giant question mark.

He is clearly a very technical player. When his fitness level allows him to put in great workrate, his technique makes the difference.

Great assist for the opener and Raki-style goal, even though he surely looks more comfortable closer to goal than in midfield... Still, had good workrate, kept possession and didn't do too many stupid things, so good game in my opinion...

As a side note, he seems to get along pretty well with the rest of the team...

Indeed. Guess it was the bad percentage, cause it's clear as daylight he's a top quality player. But then, we already knew that since he was super quality with Atletico. So I take that criticism in a funny way, people saying he's shit. You don't have to be a genius to know that a CL finalist and La Liga winner Atletico player can't be shit.

No one is stealing nothing from Denis.

He doesn't get an automatic position for being a La Masia kid, so keep working hard, showing his value, commitment and quality until his minutes grow, just like every other kid before him.

Right now Arda adds much more quality than Denis, so the kid is not entitled to anything.

Arda is a great player, technically gifted. We're lucky to have him.
I think that he fits the team perfectly on that left side.
