Not like he'll be left without a job. He'll receive a bonus from Barca for leaving, but obviously would have to take a paycut elsewhere which he isn't willing to do.

Not sure whether the China offer in January was true or not, but if it was and we rejected it, then it's looking pretty stupid in hindsight.

No reason for him to leave. He already retired from the national team and probably doesn't even like to play football anymore since he said he doesn't even like running lol.

How much are we willing to pay him to leave? If we are paying 10m euros per year for him, are we willing to invest 20m in his release? He has 3 years left right? So we spend a huge chunk of the transfer budget on releasing Arda.

Obviously not. He'll get whatever's remaining of his sign-on bonus.

However that's probably what Arda want. Just let him rot on the stands for a year. No reason to waste a squad place and push out someone else for someone who's not needed.

Well, he's not going to accept some crumbs from a sign-on bonus if he has a contract worth 30m euros with us. We either have to pay a huge chunk of his remaining wages to release him so he doesnt lose money or he stays put.

Too bad there was no clause for rescinding his contract after he attacked that 70 year old journalist.

You gotta be kidding me. Look at his shape, he's looking awful and unprofessional.

His 'shape' is fine and he probably is the best back up to Neymar but I would rather try to cash in and see if someone like Denis with more energy can play that role.

Word. Id'd sell him too but the hipocrisy is unbearable here. It's OK for Barca to force players out, but not cool if PSG forces Verratti to stay. Punish Arda for wating to stay and we're just as low of a club as PSG is.

Great comparison.

Except that the coach don't want him or like big squads as Barto said himself.

So let's keep Arda in the squad and give him more minutes than Denis or others in the midfield because Arda want to stay and not letting him to do would make Barca as low of a club as PSG.

Had it been Bartra or someone else I'm sure the tune from you would have been different, but since it's a player you like it's hypocrisy

How is selling players who want to stay the same as forcing players who want to leave to stay?

They're literally exact opposites. It's not like Arda would be the first player to want to stay at Barca who ended up being forced out. Give me a break.
