And this is why they need to abandon the Clasura/Apertura nonsense. It's exciting in small doses but league titles are supposed to be an endurance test. Seeing River in the second division makes me appreciate just how annoying - and necessary - grindathons are.

annnyyyways, I heard the Superclasico is on the 28th of October. Going to be a great game. The type of game the Argentine League desperately needed last season. Hoping for River to win this!

Interesting to see if both Boca and River aren't awful by then. 
Boca was a complete disaster. That team was a shell of the near treble winners without Riquelme.
River wasn't quite as bad but as frustrating as always. Great opportunities missed (including Funes Mori skying a penalty), questionable tactics..Almeyda starting Vega in goal when River just bought one of the best GKs in Argentina in Barovero makes no sense.
