But Barca HAVE Messi, why would they ever want the older, more injury prone and less effective version, at great cost?

It seems that after being kicked out of Madrid he has enough of 'bigger' clubs
I dunno what oyu have been seeing from Robben lately, but he can take over the same position and tasks as/from Messi. He has the same tendency to drop deep when the opponents are defending tightly, b/c he needs the space to make his pace count. He also likes going into 1-1 situations and cuts in whenever possible to finish with his left foot. Actually, when you replace MEssi with Robben you hardly have to change anything around that man.
depends on how comfortable the player is at his new club & how much confidence his new coach is showing in him!!
Ok mate, perhaps I don't like him very much, it seems more a question of style... one year ago, we all thought the same thing about Ibra... and in the end, he doesn't match very well...
You think that Pep is maybe have some interest on him?
I have no idea, probably not too!!
I was referring to your post about how we witnessed only in flashes of what we expected of Ibra because of his proven qualities at Inter... His dribbling, his long range shots, his FKs, etc were all just matter of confidence!! Also about Robben, probably the most important aspect about his play is taking a shot out of no where(remember this has been of Ibra too!!) and I don't know how far we would see that from Robben if he signed for us
Ah I see yes, I thought you were justifying his move to Barca, which is senseless.
Because they are greedy?
Needless to say that a transfer of Robben to Barca doesnt make much sense though.
