3rd keeper strategy could be to rotate the B's weekly and have the one who doesn't play on the bench for the A that week.

That way you don't need to keep a non playing 3rd like Astralaga (loan) and keep two prospects developing and motivated at the B.
Good idea

Thats what I said.. the 3rd keeper should be one that plays some B team games.

Astralaga at 3rd choice is a waste and anyone doing that job should be getting minutes at Barca B at times probably also.

Astralaga himself has had 8 games there, so we are kind of doing it. 8 out of 24 (this weekend).

What I suggested is a bit more systematic and a game each which would be 12/12 out of 24- by monthly. Not including UYL picks.

I recall back in the day, we done this briefly with Reina/Valdes as they were both highly rated. Well, until Reina was punted to Villarreal for experience with a buyback as he underwelmed in the A, and not reactivated as Valdes broke through.

Personally would rather some experience on bench that is cheap, good character and home grown.

While likes of Astragla can go off and try to show what he can do at whatever is the highest level that will take him is.

Often think that La Masia players between B and firts team can get too comfortable or too set in Barca way and real world comes as a shock to them when it comes to point Barca could rely on them,

That is for the young players who are no obviously ready to make quick steps from Juv A to first team,

Would prefer Barca to be sending out a loan army of laddies who are not learning much in B team anymore and see what minerals they have.
