Supposedly signing Schneiderlin in the coming days aswell, £25 million.

Great deal.

Nah, Schneiderlin is most likely going to Man United. Wenger is looking for someone to rotate with Coquelin, and Schneiderlin is more of an "Arteta/Alonso" type of CM. I was hoping for Kondogbia, but at least Krychowiak is still available.

He really should spend, a DM, a striker and a defender and Arsenal have an excellent 1st team that can win the title if not for injuries, I should know, I did it in FM.

Wake me up when Arsenal actually have a squad that's capable of challenging. Every summer it's the same old story, "we only need position X, Y & Z filled and we are up there".

I don't think we'll ever really "challenge" for a league title until we get over this mental-block vs Man United and Chelsea. We even lost to Moyes, got thrashed 6-0 by Mourinho, etc. The squad is amazing right now, but the last time we had confidence and fearlessness, it was 2007.

Still, you have to admit we've come a loooong way since the Almunia era. From the likes of Denilson, Squillaci, Bendtner, etc. to Ozil, Alexis, and Cech. Back then, we honestly belonged down in 7th with Liverpool and Spurs, 4th really was an achievement with the crap in our starting 11. Even so, I'm not confident until we upgrade from Giroud. A world class striker would go a long way.

And for that you need to spend pretty big, or at least somewhat, which Wenger is adamant he won't. Lel.

I'd laugh if Wenger finally got the ass or decided to leave, new guy comes in, spends big on a few guys and wins the league first season.

Why didn't they go for someone like Jackson Martinez? He was on the market, he is a great striker, he is still at a competitive age. What is Arsenal waiting for?

I don't think it'll be that simple. Wenger has built a legacy in Arsenal for years that is to settle for a CL spot, which is the top of their wish list. I don't think any other coach is capable of changing that attitude anytime soon.

These Arsenal counters are like the Rooney/Ronaldo/Tevez United at their peak. Totally annihilating Lyon 4-0 at the 40 minute mark.
