Arturo Vidal

In what way?

You're implying "goals + assists per 90 minutes" is a valid way to compare midfielders. I didn't look it up but I'm almost certain Ramsey and Vidal have more "goals and assists per 90 minutes" than Busquets, Xavi and Iniesta in 10/11 combined.

That is a valid way to compare Ramsey and Vidal, because that's a huge part of their game. They're box to box mids, both late runners to give their team an extra man in the final third and either create space for a teammate or score themselves, the other big components of their play are defending and workrate, but I didn't feel like posting those stats because I wasn't feeling like doing a detailed comparison. Using goals to compare Busquets and someone would be silly, but with these two guys and how big of a part goalscoring plays in their overall game I feel it is one of the best factors for comparison.

if his deal with madrid goes through, Madrid will have kadira, him, bale and dimaria in their mid to make it the most hardworking, defensively extremely strong and offensive mobile and extremely threatening midfield in the world.

Ramsay better than Vidal, you Arsenal fans are so adorable. You'd think a decade of nothing but crushing disappointment would have broken your spirit, but never change, you precious, precious snowflakes.

2 guys saying so doesn't mean all Arsenal fans. Besides, Vidal is in his prime. Give Ramsey a few years at the top before making a comparison.

Ramsey is an overhyped British player like Bale. I bet Wenger could get 70 million for him in todays inflated mkt.

He always had the potential to be world class. At 16 he played in an FA Cup final for Cardiff City, and after that every big club in England wanted him. A lot of people forget what he went through:

2 years of rehab and physiotherapy, a metal rod permanently fused to his leg, and the trauma of wondering if the next tackle will end his career. Even after that, many idiots (like Piers Morgan) were judging him and calling him average within a year of him walking again. Now he had an absolutely world class season, scoring the types of goals Van Persie did for us, running up and down the pitch covering the most ground, etc. Even after his 2 month injury this season, he immediately started scoring spectacular goals the moment he came back. Let's give him another year before calling him overhyped. He has already proved he can be world class, now let's see if he can sustain it.

I agree that already comparing him to the likes of Vidal is insane, but maybe we won't be saying that in a year or two. He's still only 23.

He said that he don't know if he stays at Juventus, can you imagine if we had Alexis, Vidal and Mascherano (as DM) in starting line-up, Ter Stegen wouldn't have a job to do, hell, our defenders wouldn't have a job because of amount of work rate, tackling and pressing these guys would bring :)

James Ducker who with Andy Mitten and Mark Odgen are the only reliable journalists regarding united who always get it right, has just said we are keeping tabs on Vidal and whilst we haven't made an official move we are monitoring the situation. There had been lots of reports from the Italian press and a few in England were saying this but now he has pretty much confirmed he is a target. Please, Please Woody go all out for him

Seems Manchester United are serious about signing him, £40mil deal and long term Juventus target Nani thrown in as well
