Arturo Vidal

For anything below 25m is absolutely a fantastic deal. Valverde wants his own Seydou Keita and we cannot blame him for that. Vidal is going to add a lot of tactical versatility. The only issue is his current injury.

Very happy to have him.

From a financial standpoint we basically got Malcom+Vidal for less than what Willian or Thiago would cost. We'll see how they'll do but I'm optimistic.

Some sources say it is less than 20m others say around 28m
Tomorrow will know for sure. Congratulations.

If Vidal truly is the real deal he'll try to be in the best shape possible and cut down on his off-field shit to focus 100% on winning the CL, if not then just to prove everyone wrong. Whether it's Barca fans, Bayern, journalists......

Perhaps a change of scenery with people that will hold him 100% accountable will do him good. Hope so. Wished we could get a better, young player in the 24-27 age bracket, but it is what it is.

And I still remember that our best time was when we had short midfielders. And our best midfielders did not have Hulk-like features. Patterns that have proven to go aside and do things that even they have proven.

You brought him up though...

How long until you get banned again?

OMG, you didnt just go there. You know this place is my life and it hurts so bad to not be able to post. Please don’t use my kryptonite against me
again.

Regarding Vidal, what do you think Serena? Please enlighten us, you’ve been constantly right with every single signing

I hope we see this ferociousness from Vidal, should he sign. We have been needing some aggressiveness and dirty swagger since Alves left us. For everything under 30 mil euros, he could add depth and another dimension to the squad. Worth the risk, I guess. Still dissappointed we didn't go all in for De Jong, but I guess this transfer still allows us to bring him in come next season.

Young talented midfielder: Arthur, Alena, Puig (in the future), Frenkie next year.

Vidal is the perfect short term solution. 2-3 years, and both Puig and Frenkie (if we buy him) will played 1st team football. Alena will have acclimated too being a squad player with Roberto.

Don't see the point in bringing in another youngster. Rather go for short term with a profile like Vidal.

By 24-27 I meant more like an established midfielder like Pogba.

Frenkie is a Barca boy at heart. He knows it, Barca know it.

It'll happen in the next couple years. Don't worry about it.

Vidal is a solid short term solution that adds something else right now. His profile with complement our midfield perfectly IMO.

For less than 20M, it's neither a move to be excited or mad over. He'll be a squad player to rotate at this point and that's okay.

Coutinho must be moving into the role of Iniesta.

Sure, they could do that. But I believe in Puig, and I think Barca does to. Him at CM in 3 years time (after Vidal's contract is up and Rakitic had moved back to Sevilla), Frenkie at CDM and Arthur too at CM (sometimes AM). Roberto AND Alena too.

I like Pogba, but I think someone like this close to their prime or in their prime would halt the development of our promising youngsters.
