Ashley Cole has been awful for the last 2 years. Past it even.

I've only seen him play 3 good games in the last 2 years and they were 2 against Barcelona and the Final against Bayern Munich. Besides those he has been utter dog and clearly looking past it. So much so that he allows his frustration of being past it show by lashing out with dangerous dangerous tackles and generally being a douche.

He's no better than Alba defensively really, especially when you see Wayne Routledge of all people constantly tearing Ashley Cole a new rear end hole time and again for 90 mins.

I'd wager that EC is more prestigious then CL. For one, it's only played once in 4 years and players only have few shots at it (and then that's if their team qualifies).
Also, Chelsea rode their luck from almost every single match of KO stages while Spain outplayed practially everyone on their way and they are hailed best international team in the world. Wonder how many would say that Chelsea are best in Europe?
