Well, money first of all, and then even if he doesn't play a big part in it, he'll potentially have a bunch of winners medals. I believe he's 28, so say he stays at Chelsea for 4 years, he could accumulate some decent team honours and then leave at 32 and play regularly until he retires.

he obviously doesnt want to retire without any winners medals. Chelsea is a team that will gaurantee him silverware
