Looks like they've given up.

It's a good thing Simeone is going to pack his bags soon, Atletico's greatest generation will be remembered as Real Madrid's bitches.

What happened to Koke? This guy was hailed as the new Xavi, but it seems like he stopped developing, even declined this season. Every time I watch him play, he is pure shit.

I think the problem with Atletico is that they got 'too successful a team for their own good'. They have started playing like a top team, attacking and forgetting what they did when they achieved good results against top teams. However, they are not quite good enough to play like Barça or Bayern. It works against weak teams, but they get exposed against a top team like RM. If they had played like before, defensively with counterattacks, they could have beaten Real, but they attacked and played constructively and suffered from RM's counterattacks. I understand that Simeone finally wants to try playing beautiful football, but by abandoning the dogged, destructive tactics of old, he made it much easier for RM. In addition, Griezman was not at full strength and Carrasco was unlucky despite some impressive runs. Savic caused two goals had a terrible day. The 3rd goal was a consequence of open space created by Atletico's desperate attacking when being 0:2 behind. And you have to give it to Bale and Ronaldo - they can run very fast.

theyre performing badly because everyone knows that Simeone will be leaving soon and so will players like Gimenez, Griezmann, Saul, Carrasco, and so on. They just dont care as much as they should

They are a confused team, they don't know if they should stick to there identity and what they have come to be known for, or embrace the new attacking talent in the team.

Once they have figured this out, they will be fine, they were like this early last season too, trying to change, but after a while they saw they needed to go back to there roots and the results started to come.

You can see the team and perhaps Simone wants to play a more attacking brand of football, but haven't figured out how to do so, while getting results

From Vicente Calderon to Wanda Metropolitano....sounds really terrible.

"Estadio Luis Aragonés" would've been a better name to their new stadium IMO.

Well, yeah, but Luis doesn't pay big bucks for sponsorship... And this is what football is today; money first, legends later...

Their new logo seems a little bit like some US team or something, still good for them for trying something new...
