Di Natale's made the shortlist :worthy:

I reckon it'll be:

1. Messi
2. Ronaldo
3. Xavi

Don't agree with it but that's how it'll turn out imo.

I'd love Xavi or Iniesta to win it but they won't.

How the hell is Fabregas on there? He was injured for most of last season ffs

RvP should be there but I bet he isn't. Messi will win.

Would that fact Iniesta scored the winning goal in a World cup final not come into the thinking of this award, other then that he hasn't been bad over the course of the last twelve months has he.

i'm all for Xavi getting due recognition, so perhaps there should be a new 'contribution to football' award like you all say.

Agree. People like Xavi, Zanetti, Nesta, etc who have had long careers and have been consistently fantastic players (but never the best in the world at any given moment) should be eligible for a separate award.

Nah, that would have been relevant for last year's award. That was the chance for one of him or Xavi to win the award. Messi's got this year's tied up for sure.

There's a Dutch quartet too: VdV, RvP, Sneijder and Robben all on the shortlist.

Klose's stats for last season

20 League Appearances
1 Goal

Shouldn't be on it, neither should Fabregas, Khedira or VdV.
