Real Madrid are not against Rodri winning the Ballon d’Or, but they do not understand the criteria to give it to him because he has the same merits that Dani Carvajal has, and he also won the Champions League.
@AranchaMOBILE

Carvahal is a done poor fella LOSERS
Rodri is the MOST IMPORTANT player in the world, the MOST IMPORTANT of the best club team (City), and the best NT (Spain)

Hard to understand for folk who have been used to cheat and being handed things they never deserved

TAKE THAT!

Inside Real Madrid they think that UEFA getting involved from this year’s Ballon d’Or has stopped Vini Jr. from winning it. The two organizations have a bad relationship over the Super League.
@marca

IN OTHER WORDS,
they implicitly admit that the award was RIGGED in their favor before UEFA's involvement
Shows how farcical this award is that they think Carvajal is even close to as important for his teams as Rodri is. Sure, he won more trophies and scored a goal in the CL Final. And? Rodri clearly has a much bigger impression on his teams than Carvajal does, and I actually rate Dani more than you do.

The rationale is so ridiculous that doesn't deserve an answer.
Only laughter :lol: ....

Their reasoning is correct.

If you judge it based on individual ability, it's Vinicius. If you judge it by team results, it's Carvajal.

Rodri probably ranks 2 in all criteria but fair play stuff most likely.

My point is the criteria is daft anyway.

All that should matter is who performed the best. In my opinion that is Rodri. Trophies are team achievements, and fair play shouldn't really have much bearing.

But like I said, I don't care about the award anyway. Just find criteria is made up on a dime.
