edit: For me it's Don Andres. It's his year. He had a great euro cup and this season he's on fire! I really can't see him winning but he'd deserve it so much. Plus I'd love to see Cristiano being degraded to "third best player in the world"

Ronaldo having the least amount of votes in Marca, that speaks for itself he's leaving after this year.

As much as we'd all like Iniesta to win it, he wouldn't accept a pity fuck.
Messi had a great season last year and he continues to impress scoring goals and dazzling defenders for fun.

It would not surprise me or disappoint me if it were Messi again however Iniesta has been looked over for too long. The goal scorers get the most recognition, it's the way the sport is but I am hoping this year is Iniesta's year.

iniesta is my second fav player, but there is no way that any player can top messi
this player had the best individuel season in the history of the game
there has never been a player that had the moste goals and assists in one year
he achieved the following: gert muller + pele (goals) and maradonna (dribbeling)+ zidane(assists) = messi last season

Messi is way above everyone, put Iniesta with his play and accomplishments of this year h2h vs winners before 2008 and he would have a much better chance of winning some of those match ups then with a 2012 Messi.

you people are forgetting that iniesta played an important role in spain retaining the euros and thus becoming the first team in history to win euro cup, world cup, and euro cup consecutively. that should not be taken lightly. plus he is having a phenomenal year and is the best in the world at his position. i think he does have a shot to win it above messi.
