Sold... or sent to Bayern for a year and get on that horse-meat diet like Coutinho and Goretzka.

Horse meat diet never hurt anybody. We move.

Wow...Nastic is a Segunda B team (third tier), but it's look like both teams are from same division...
I'm very concerned how we'll look against Villareal.

It's the first game dawg. It's not like we're smashing these Segunda B teams 7-0 in CdR either.

If we don't ship Suarez off he is going to end up as a starter. We're in a catch-22 as no one else can play upfront in what Koeman wants to implement and we can't sign who Koeman wants unless Suarez goes.

Also we should seriously consider cashing in on our fulbacks (Firpo and Semedo/Roberto) and trying other options (StupidBread and Emerson).

Those are the most glaring vibes from these short 45s.

Other than Messi head not being in the game of course and it being a headache in itself where to place him. Must be embarrassing for him to send that fax and then be starting our first pre-season game a few weeks later.

If Koeman doesn't switch the pieces, the team will default to the same boredom-inducing anti-intensity slow build-up phase where Suarez becomes needed. We can certainly fuck it up so that Suarez seems the lesser evil for the "9" position.

Fully agree. The worrying part though, is that the player Koeman wants as a striker (Depay) will you give you the same tactical headaches as Griezmann. This problem is amplified with Messi here.

I wonder if Suarez would be as big a problem by himself. If we actually kept Suarez and let Messi go we might have been OK. Simply because Suarez fits the profile of the system.

Suarez is a finished player. In each and every metric. Has the acceleration of a cripple and a toxic mentality towards younger players who need to develop.

He needs to be gotten rid of at all costs.

Poor athleticism, my boy can't over any ground these days.

He could never cover any ground, ever. It was always a weakness of ours, but we enjoyed 70% possession every game and we had wingers and a midfield that pressed as a unit so we didn't see it exposed as often. It's no surprise he looked worse and worse as Iniesta and Xavi aged, and like total garbage once they were gone.

I appreciate Messi for what he's done and his genius I got to witness during his prime, but if I was to put out a starting 11 with this current team, I'm not sure he'd be on it. Neither would Suarez or Griezman. Which is scary, honestly.

Dembele-Fati-Trincao
Coutinho
Puig/Pjanic- De Jong
Alba-Pique- Araujo- Semedo

With what we currently got. Pedri looks very promising as well. Fati has an eye for goal and some good quick touch trickery, has acceleration but isn't too fast. I can picture him playing an Eto'o type role as a 9 as he develops physically and gets a little older. I put Coutinho in there because I dont see Griezman as a goal threat what so ever, but he would have workrate. Messi obviously would be the most threat, but would have NEGATIVE work rate if anything.

Forget talent, the sheer lack of characters in the current XI/squad is why we fold at the slightest hint of pressure.
