Barca Transfers and Rumors

I read the whole article on MD. It says the board has given full support and backing to Verratti and Verratti is determined to play for Barca and will try to convince Nasser till the last day of the transfer window. Verratti knows that the Qatari's are stubborn assholes. If he revolt against them it would be of no use and they won't sell him. He is trying to convince them to let go off him.

Totally agree with that.

It most definitely can't be till the last day of transfer window. We must have a clear situation and completed squad way before the end of August.

Totally agree with that.

Do you see it as more possible for him to come here, if he doesn't revolt against them? I disagree.
If they get a compliant player, then they have NO motivation whatsoever to sell him. If he causes public trouble, then maybe, even though they could turn it to their advantage and get publicity from looking 'strong'. But I know that we won't get him no matter what he does.

Get Ceballos and Gortezka.
Buy Semedo and some young CB like Lemos,Mere or somone else...

Verratti is best solution but he is not only midfielder in the world.

Ceballos is not good enough for me: High toplevel but too low bottomlevel, as we saw in the U21-euros.
Goretzka is interesting and presumable cheap, because his contract expires next year. But I want a whole other level here as well: Eriksen and Coutinho should be realistic imo, even though Verratti isn't.

Like I said in the Verratti thread if he won't revolt then we have around 0,0000001% chances to get him. If he'll try to burn bridges between him and PSG (and not attending training would mean trying to do exactly that) then those possibilities go down to negative. Nasser is just too stubborn and proud to let a star player put pressure on him personally and at the same time also make a bad publicity for the club which would clearly happen if Verratti wouldn't show up to training.

Anyway, I'm against players trying to forcing his way out of the club that way. I'm ok with what Verratti has done so far during his hollidays and with players generally put in a transfer requests if/when they want to leave and most clubs eventually accept that because it's not smart to keep players when their minds are not with the club anymore. But I'm against boycotting trainings and doing other things a professional shouldn't to to force his way out mostly for two reasons:

1. Contracts should be respected as nobody put a gun to Verratti's head to sign extension every single year he's been in Paris. If PSG don't want to let him go then it's their right to do that and it's also Verratti's obligation to respect his contract. At the same time it's his own fault that he kept signing those extensions year after year to get more money without thinking that he might change his mind and want to leave someday when only money won't be enough to please him anymore.

2. It's understandable Barça fans keep saying he should force his way out etc. but what if situation would be reverse and our star player would do those things to force a transfer to PSG? I know we usually let players go that don't want to be here but what if we'd want to keep that player at all costs and he'd want to leave anyway. Imagine a scenario where Messi signs a new contract today and then tomorrow he suddenly decides to leave and would start not attending trainings. What would people think about that? I know Messi is not the best example but he's our biggest star like Verratti is for PSG and well, I didn't want to say Neymar because he's not loved by all Barça fans and most would sell him before he'd even start to think doing s**t like that.

Everyone has the right to have opinions and share them. But that doesn't mean those opinions are excluded from being viewed and argued as moronic. Your opinions in particular are so asinine that I hope Barca never get a board with people who think like you.

There is really no need nor justification to be so rude .
I wouldn't dream of saying anything like that to a fellow Barca fan / forum member .

Thankfully I have no real need to resort to cheap name calling .

A good upbringing is a wonderful thing , don't you agree ;)

why? many said the same before Suarez signed here.

I never had a problem with Suarez, the guy just bit a few people and there's way worse things that happen on the pitch than biting someone. Ceballos seems like a complete fucking idiot. I get the feeling that he hates Barca because whenever we've played against Betis he has always played recklessly and made dangerous tackles towards Pique. Not to mention his tweets that the entire Catalonia should be bombed like wtf. The guy fights against all the things that are taught to youngsters in La masia and I dont want that kind of fuckhead into our team. Just let him rot in Betis or Real Madrid where all the rotten apples go.

Verratti is best solution but he is not only midfielder in the world.

Bayern already signed Goretzka for free for 2018. in addition, he is not what Barca needs. just because we need a more creative player than him.

Pereira, Ceballos, Seri, Bernardeschi would be great transfer market for me, also realistic.

PSG won't let Verratti go. so forget him. According to foreign media, especially italian media, he wants to leave PSG for every week and they sign him for different teams in the last 3-4 years. Yet, he is the heart of PSG's project, if they let him go, their project and all of this investments won't have a meaning.
