Barca Transfers and Rumors

You were not very clear.

The club pays the tax so if he is getting 10m BEFORE tax it reads as then tax paid on top.

Sport tend to be full of shit, but they reported 5m net and he's on 10m net in Brazil.

He's not going to earn peanuts at Barca either way. No player would leave that 10m net salary to earn 2m or around that.

Spanish press just report it in net compared to German and presumably English media who report it before tax.

Tax rate in Catalunya is close to 50% for income over a certain amount.

The club doesn't pay the tax. When the players receive their salary, taxes are already deducted.

Predictable. We have become a comedy club, not that I care anymore. People in charge are making shit loads of money and don't give a fuck about the club, why should I...

Farwell footbal.

Spanish press dont always report it as net though. Only Messi and Ronaldo really get reported like that when wages published etc for comparison.

Wouldnt expect him to be on peanuts. Well I would ability wise but not if they for some reason want him.

No it doesn't. 10m BEFORE tax is 10m BEFORE tax. Tax is not being payed on tax

That is gross salary while net salary is AFTER tax.

I read it as the club paying him 10m before tax which would mean tax paid on top.

The club dont pay out 10m then tax man takes his share. The club pay out to the player and then pay the relevant tax.

They do. Whenever a player signs a new contract or is signed for the club, it's explicitly mentioned in the articles that his salary would be this and that much net.

No, for salaries, the tax is already deducted from their paycheck.

The player pay the relevant tax for their image rights and other income, which is where all these players are getting indicted for tax fraud.

Not always net and not in terms of the wages comparisons they produce. Where only Messi and Ronaldo are usually broken down to after tax.

Not even sure why it is relevant to this discussion how they report it anyway.

That is where I read it as being what club were paying him before tax.

I said 5m net. 10m before taxes. You chose to misunderstand.

But here we are, its not hard to understand, 40m in wages for Paulinho+bonuses+transfer fee of 30-40m. Mindblowing. And thats after Verma and Arda.

No looking good. Especially when you see two equally good midfielder lines in RM and still buying youth prospects. I will wait with my judgement but transfer deadline is not 31.8. This is official but big club needs to buy much earlier and use the summer to incorporate new player.

Rudiger is new player of Chelsea.
That means that Azpillicueta who has been linked with Barcelona could be even more close to Barca.
