Barca Transfers and Rumors

I cannot believe the sheer incompetence by this board. They had no foresight. Most likely thought that Bellerin and Verratti would both try to push moves and when that failed didn't have any plan B. Valverde said he wanted his squad competed by the time training started. A good board would have granted this but now they are left scrambling to sign players. At this point don't even make any moves. Save the money, see what you have in the B players and go all out early in the window next year to get the top talent with the saved funds.

I honestly can't understand why are we not considering Lemar, Fabinho or Seri at the moment?!

Ok lets say Seri is "one year wonder" so this might be the reason but Lemar and Fabinho would strengthen our squad for sure!

We could also at least try to go for Coutinho. I know he is probably not for sale but let's try at least!

How would Paulinho strengthen our squad?

He misspoke and meant Fabinho.

I dont get it either. Lemar and Fabinho would be sensational signings. The only question is whether we can afford those types of players. They'll probably go for 45-50m each.

And also if Lpool is trying to go for Naby Keita we should also at least try, this guy may end up being a great player.

We should try with those 5 guys. Go for Coutinho if he is not for sale try with Keita, if he is not fore sale try with Fabinho or Lemar if they are not go for Seri! It's not that complicated and I am sure we would manage to land one of them if we go full force.

True, we can at least try, even if Leipzig seemingly has some massive PSG type ambitions, which is odd to me. At least it should be easier to lure Keita away to Barcelona than Verratti and he might try to force himself out if we go hard in. Liverpool are also seemingly interested in Ziyech from Ajax as an alternative. 24 year old. I watched him against Celta in the EL and he was man of the match for me. He's clearly capable of performing well in Europe and not only in the Dutch league. Risky move but at least we could request a price.

And even if Coutinho and Keita are not for sale I highly doubt Monaco wouldn't sell at least one of Lemar or Fabinho, not to mention Seri is most certainly for sale regardless what Nice president says. They are Nice not f... PSG. So for the right amount of money he will go.

Honestly I would firstly go for Coutinho or Keita and than Lemar or Fabinho. Seri would be my last choice but he is for sure 10000000000x better option than fucking Paulinho!!!!!

Not to mention there are also other young players which we could at least try to sign e.g. Weigl or Goretzka. Tolisso went to Bayern for 41 mil and B. Silva to City for 50 mil so telling that Barca can't sign a great young midfielder for 50 mil is total bullshit. Problem is we are always late and we are looking in a wrong places while others are doing their job way before market even opens. Problem is in market research and timing not in a price tag!

I only hope, but really really really hope, that all of this time Barça board has some plan B and is quietly doing some "side transfers" of some "normal" player and not some new A Gomes or Chinese-money grabbers.

I could not stand another year of this shitty midfield "rotations" and "cocktail-formulas" in search for right assembly with this squad.

You are right. Monaco also signed Tielemans for 25m euros and Dortmund signed Dahoud for 12m euros.

Our team doesn't have a plan B in tactical sense since 2008.
And we had some good coaches.

Then it is hard to expect from our board of clowns to actually have some longterm plan and a plan b if something fails.

Guys, Barca has always been a club run by clowns.
We were always a club with passionate supporters, with a lot of emotions involved. A club with a good shortpassing-attacking-football style and with 1-2 superstars who were always saving our asses (R9, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Messi).

But in general, our club has always been run poorly.
A total mess, improvisation and zero longterm plan.

For younger fans, our club was equally as clueless as today in terms of transfers and planning from 2000-2005.
A new strategy and 5 new overpaid players each new season.
I guess that when leaders and supporters are too emotional, it is hard to be a coldminded businessman with awesome strategy.

Bayern and their structure are around 200 years infront of us.
If we didn't have Messi and luck from La masia, we would really be a club of a level of Roma and Arsenal.

Keita will cost 70-80m Euros.
If you are not 100% sure that you need him, you can't splash that much on him.

I would rather buy no one than splashing 70-80m for someone just to buy someone.

If we can't buy anyone, we should just buy a cheap Rb and play a season with a current squad.
Then in the next summer, we'll have 200m to spend and we can spend big then, either on Verratti or on Dembele or on some player whom we really need. And we will get some answers by then about a longterm future of Neymar, Gomes, Denis, Rakitic, Iniesta, Paco, Digne, Vidal etc

In this moment, it seems that both a board and a coach don't know whom they need.
They are not ready to sell some of starters but also, they don't know HOW to strengthen a team currently.
They wanted Verratti and Belle, but outside of those two, they don't have any ideas.
We are stuck in a zone where we don't know whether we should continue with current starters or start a new era.

Imo, let's move on, buy a rb and play a new season with a current team.
I mean, it is not as if we'll win anything either way, until a major and longterm planned overhaul.
