If we sell Ney and can buy a woldclass MF, it will make us stronger! Ney has skills, but not the brain to use them right..

People are not accepting Qatar wc. But it will still happen. Money runs the world no matter how you look at it. Fifa and uefa are pretty corrupt.

Completely different scenario.

FIFA/UEFA are not making transactions here, they are regulating them. They are not going to make PSG an exception to the rules if everyone else opposes it.

What rules? FFP was always there to prevent clubs taking big loans. Clubs like city and PSG can spend how much ever they want. Nothing is stopping them. What will they even regulate? It is all legal.

IF PSG could spend as much as they want they wouldn't be going through this company to finance the Neymar operation, no?

That is how they can spend as much as they want. Remember their recent random sponsorship deal to get out of all ffp charges.

Yeah and that's what I am getting at. So if PSG uses this sort of scheme where they use a company and the 220m transaction doesn't appear on their books, then they can avoid FFP rules.

How many other clubs can pull something off like that? I would think there would be a big opposition against this scheme of using third party companies to avoid FFP regulations.

The difference is they will always find a way because they are private owned. And if the owner is rich enough anything can happen. Same can't be said for clubs like Barca and Madrid.

What if they put restrictions on funneling finances through a third party? Seems like it would close a fair amount of loopholes.

If Neymar transferred for 222M (and he is not actually going anywhere), it does not follow that lots of player movements would occur for over 100M.

Neymar has marketing value way in excess of any player other than Messi. Around the world, people will turn on the TV to see him play. Not just the serious fans in the most football-crazy countries. Teenagers and young adults in places like Asia, the United States, Africa, new fans, people who only watch occasional games.

But what do you define as third party? For us lets say Beko is giving us some X millions from sponsorship deal. That will be legit money and we can use it as means to sign players. It is not possible for us to make that X as some insanely huge money. But for clubs like Milan, PSG and City to make that X insanely high it they are in trouble with FFP. Unless you tie it with actual revenues of the club they will always find a way. But that will never happen.
