To me yes, we only have 2 good CBs (Umtiti and Pique), Mascherano has declined a lot in the past 2 seasons and Marlon doesn't have enough experience yet.

I really don't understand all the hype about Coutinho. Watched several matchs of the reds and he is seriously lacking consistency.

To be fair, when you have to carry a team like Coutinho does with Liverpool, it's way harder to be consistent. There, he was the player everyone looked at every game to make the difference. Here, he'll have other world class players helping him so much more than in Liverpool.

I agree we need a new good CB. But before that we need to sell Vermaelen and may be Mascherano as well. So rotate the 3 mature ones and give Marlon easy matches
But Pique, Umtiti, Masche and Inigo to rotate this is too much defenders adding to them Marlon who needs playing minutes and Vermaelen who still did not leave

Liverpool is not PSG in terms of finances. Suarez left Liverpool and Coutinho will leave as well.

there is a huge difference between suarez and coutinho
suarez publicly said he wanted to go, liverpool sold him after the whole arsenal release clause drama AND after he bit someone in the world cup
whereas coutinho just signed a new contract in january and has said nothing publicly AND the manager came out atleast 5 different times saying he is not for sale.
