Paco Alcácer's deal is done. Barça has reached an agreement. [MD] #fcblive
35mil that should be spent on a RB or saved towards one next season or in January.
To me, he is a kind of signing
To me he is not. He is a good signing, but of course we all would rather have Munir do a Roberto and break through (he hasn't done that yet, imo).
I hope he isn't included in the deal so he can get regular playing time another place than Valencia. I think some regular time as a starter will prove if he has what it takes to stay here.

Munir is simply not good enough right now. People saying Alcacer will be a success if he scores in 5 important games? Can Munir go that? Munir hasnt even scored 5 goals for us in his whole career. He needs to develop elsewhere, he simply isnt good enough right now. He isnt 17 years old anymore, he is nearly 21 years old. Alcacer is only 2 years older than him and is already a top goalscorer at Valencia. People who want Munir to stay dont care about his development. Now that Arda is also an option in MSN, Munir will have even less games than last year. Other clubs are improving and doing so well, we wont win the CL with Munir as a backup. I cant trust Munir to play against Real if Suarez was injured but I can trust Alcacer because he has been doing it for 3+ years.
If Munir cant survive against Alcacer who people here thinks is shit then Munir was never good enough in the first place.
You do know it takes very strong will to get into the mindset of playing for a big club right?
You are going to question your abilities subconsciously.
Even Neymar and Suarez who were of superior quality to him at the time of joining FCB, had to face the aforementioned challenges.
Add to that the fact that they had "GUARANTEED" first team starts, which equals to ample game time, which automatically leads to development.
He is not going to be afforded that luxury. . .
I am sorry but i see a huge huge flop in this signing.
Not at all impressed.
Agree with some of your points.
They are valid and very precise.
However, the question remains, what exactly makes Alcacer our "Plan B"?
What does he offer that we currently lack upfront ?
