Paulinho is crap. Awful technique, he's a poor man's Fellaini and never a Barca player.

Willian is a good upgrade on him (a Barca midfielder with pace, whatever next?) but his age is not the profile of player we need to be signing, he's already peaked and hasn't exactly had a great career, in an out of the Chelsea team and no real impact with Brazil.

We always miss out on the right profile of player. Malinko-Savic, Fabinho, Keita, Fred, Jorginho, maybe even Mahrez or Lemar.

Other big teams know what they're doing in the market.

Its hard to find a worse player than Andre Gomes so i guess we always win this competition of the worst signing

Not a fan of these rumors, looks more like we learned nothing from our mistakes. More quality than Gomes or Vidal but still very expensive players with no starter quality. Willian is also 30yo to top that. Idk, solid-good players but i don't think we would be happy with them if we waste another 100+ mil here. We get most of that back with sales this summer but that doesn't mean its better business imo so i hope we don't sign them.

Apart from Thiago and Alaba, I can't see any realistic transfer that would be beneficial to Barca's midfield, maybe Pjanic and/or Gündogan.

Alaba's skillfull versatility would have been a huge plus. He is, to me, a left-fotted a lot more upgraded version of Sergi Roberto with less physicality
