Dembele is direct replacement for Neymar. 5 yrs younger and is real talent. We got 222m from Neymar we might as well replace with similar player.we buy Seri as well and duo to Semedo playing on RB and Roberto going to CM might actually be better. Not replacing Neymar would be suicidal, there would be literally no danger from left flank.

That's cool, the left flank can finally join the right flank in sun bathing at the beach.

If they fail to sign a big player the last resort Barcelona has is buying an important player from Sevilla, Villareal to get that 3th spot secured next season.

Time is not on our side here, there is no way in hell we're going to drive a bargain here so the most realistic option is to buy Hazard/Mbappe for 150m and Seri for 40m. I know 150m is way too much for Mbappe, but we have no option here, either make the signings now or we can write off next season. We would also save around 60-80 going for Seri instead Coutinho and we could use this extra money to buy the aforementioned wingers. In an ideal world we would also be able to get an Iniesta replacement as well, but that's not going to be possible this time around.

We would play the double pivot in midfield with a 4-2-3-1 formation, which is ideal since it also allows Messi to move into the middle, thus closing the gaping hole on the right flank. I feel Aleix Vidal could be a competent stop gap RW for us this season, assuming a Pedro like role on the team.

It's time to start being pragmatic, I feel this lineup would keep us very competitive in La Liga at least:

According to what I read, Countinho and Iñigo Martinez are a done deal. However, Dembele is not coming. On the other hand €120 mils is too much for a player that only scored 6 goals this past season, imho. We should concentrate our efforts in getting Dybala instead.

Brazilian players are excellent, but their loyalty is with their Brazilian team. They only come to Europe for the money. On the other hand, Argentine players dream coming to RM or Barcelona. Their loyalty, if we get them, is with us. Look at players like Milito, Messi, and Mascherano.

Argentina is the country that produced a tremendous amount off playmakers. It all started with Adolfo Pedernera in the 40's. Who is Pedernera, a player that never played in Europe, therefore he is unknown to us:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adolfo_Pedernera

I went to grammar school with Adolfo Pedernera's son, btw,Adolfo Pedernera, Jr

He is not the only major "10" that Argentina has produced over the years. Among the major ones are Alfredo Di Stefano, Humberto Maschio, Omar Sivori, Antonio Angelillo, Carlos Pachame, Diego Maradona, Juan Roman Riquelme, Lionel Messi, and Ricardo Bochini among the many. Who is Bochini?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ricardo_Bochini

Bochini is considered to be Independiente's best player ever. He only played for his team. During his time, independiente was the team with the most international trophies until recently. He was Maradona's idol and the player he tried to emulate. When Argentina won the World Cup, in 1986, Bochini was Maradona's backup.

Recently Argentina has produced playmakers like Icardi, Pastore, and Dybala. However, they have not come to the same level of players I mentioned before, imho. Why am I saying this. Argentina is the country of playmakers. Barça should have one, two, or three scouts in Argentina trying to find the next Maradona, Messi, Di Stefano, Pedernera, Sivori, or Angelillo. They are going to be there and we can sign them for €6-12 mils and not €100-120 mils. For the light of me, I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY WE DO NOT HAVE THESE SCOUTS!

totally agree Dembele is a must at any price, looking for value in this market = we will end up with nobody. Barto is an incompetent fucking monkey, how in the hell is he president of a football club as big as ours.. it blows my mind. No Neymar replacement and we can kiss goodbye to Laliga, CL and another year of Messi's career.

Agree that Dembele is a must have, even if we end up overpaying, there is no way that we can compete this season in LaLiga or CL without a proper Neymar replacement.

Too much negativity regarding the transfers. Yes, even I'm not happy the way things are going right now. But we have to keep our hopes up and wait until any confirmation before we crucify Barto and Fernandez.

There is no reliable source telling transfer is happening. Rumours are Coutinho wants but Liverpool doesn't.

Absolutely.

Dembele and just get an easy midfield target like Seri and put the rest of our hope in Roberto and Alena.

Risky? yes. But it's about as high of hopes that we can expect given the incompetence of the people who run our club.

Last season with Neymar being in the team we were average in CL. So, barca should bring in players who will improve as a team rather than just look for Neymar's replacement.

Totally agree with you. We were very lucky in CL.

Mind you that you misspelled Moneymar jr.

OT: I really hope we get Dembele or Mbappe. It wouldn't be a downgrade to moneymar.

Well it looks like we have not made any moves to take Care of the problems we had last season, no midfield signing, ans signing someone who will add more to mediocrity, of which we have plenty, won't solve anything, now add no Neymar or a decent replacement and you dont have average, you get shit.
