Well thats because retarded board and lucho tought it would be awesome not to have creative MF player and instead bought Gomes for 45m (+35m for Arda). We have spent 100m on MFs that cannot control tempo or ball.
Bring in Seri and Dembele and we are stronger then last year.

Arguably biggest problem last season was right back and the way Lucho set up his midfield.
Both of those look to have been addressed or at least attempted to be with Semedo and by Valverde.

If we brought creative MF that can actually hold a ball. Plus got Roberto in MF duo to Semedos arrival we would be great (had Neymar stayed). Si he hasnt, we NEED to buy hottest replacement available no matter the fee. And Iniestas replacement while we are at it. We had most inept MF of all top clubs last year.

I was tired of seeing people's comments on buying Dembele by paying that kind of money after bullied by Dortmund for a guy who just played one season of top level football.It's just that I don't get it. But I do agree with you on we need improvemnt in our squad. That doesn't mean Barca should get bullied by Dortmund and pay 100+M for him.

You are just guessing about Man U and probably not accurate.
They had plenty of money last summer and clearly wanted Pogba but hadnt signed him by this point.
Similar to they wanted Morata but wouldnt pay the fee despite having the money.
Clubs try to get value and dont just throw money when have it.

May i remind everyone, That's we're not signing auxiliary or bench players from mid-table clubs, To expect things to be as simple as, "Here is good money, Now give him to me" and finish the deal within a few days.
We're looking to sign STARTERs for our team, Which means these players aren't one of the best players in their respective clubs, They are THE best, And these clubs happen to be liverpool and dortmund, Two clubs that aren't pushovers, Neither are they desperate for money.
Everyone can bitch and moan about the board all they want, But it doesn't change the fact that signing these players is a massive and a very difficult undertaking, Specially in our current disadvantageous position, These deals will need weeks to finish, That's just reality.
The club shouldn't keep leaking news about the deals to the press, And risk compromising them, Just to satisfy our anticipation and inability to control our selves.
Let's be patient.

They paid 90m for Lukaku. They paid Martial 50m when 50 was like 80 today.
You literally cannot buy known talent under 50m in this day and age. Except Gomes that is. I guess gj Lucho and Board...

Yes, you are right. Last year Barca midfield was very poor and hit rock bottom. Big chunk of blame goes to Lucho because he insisted on Gomes and Arda was election trump card. Anyway we screwed up on those two transfers. Barca are in this shituation because of our poor transfer policy in last two years,especially in midfield reinforcement. Doesn't mean that bringing Dembele for 100+M will solve all of it.

None of those players they just paid money immediately as had it and probably poor examples as I would say they over paid for both.
United dont just throw money as have it. None of the top clubs act like nor should they.

Lukaku was already made his mark on PL for years now. He always ended up as one of the top scorer. He is worth 90M. Paying that much make sense. But for a guy who just played one season of top level football worth 100+M. That's absurd.

Kovacic is special talent but a bit weak in head. Im willing to bet that had he been under Iniesta/Xavi wing he would be top MF today. Most people from Croatia actually think he is bigger talent then modric.
