I agree that we should have signed before Neymar left, but we didn't. I view the Coutinho signing to be crucial. We have to replace Iniesta next year, he is not signing an extension and he is going with Xavi. Iniesta is always hurt nowadays. Coutinho will sub for him plus play the left flank when Iniesta is there. €150 mils for Dembélé is crazy, imho.

Honestly, Dembele isn't worth anywhere near 150m. Neither is Coutinho. The desperate situation we have now thanks to years of incompetence means that any purchase we do now will have to be at a suckers price. It's not worth it. We're making fools of ourselves and losing all respect in the transfer market. We're basically knocking on other clubs' doors with our hats in our hand.

I'm almost tempted to say we just keep our money and call it a summer. Replace the board and start internal repairs in the club, and hopefully we can emerge next season as a club with some semblance of self respect intact, ready to start building again - with the Neymar money still in pocket.

For the first time since Neymar left, I am starting to think we won't sign anyone. Seems like the board is purposely dragging this on until the end of the window. Placing embarrassing bids and manipulating us through their Catalan journalist friends so that we think they are working on something. Doing a piss poor job at it, though, because Sport, MD, Romero etc. are changing their news every other hour. "OJO! DEMBELE IS CLOSE!" "OJO! DEMBELE DEADLOCK, DI MARIA IS CLOSE!".

Totally agree with you. We are embarassing ourself in front of clubs like Liverpool and Dortmund. We don't have to kneel in front of them. Barca are a bigger club than them.

I agree with this...the board is in some sort of ridiculous desperation mode...we will NOT sign Coutinho, there is an 20/80 chance we will sign Dembele..and even so.. 150m euro is going into ridiculous territory for EITHER of them...the board should abort those missions. If we are signing Seri then for what REASON Paulinho was signed??????.. Neymar (a forward) left and we sign (at best) an average midfielder in a team that already have midfielders that don't have a future at Barca. it is INSANE...the club should just formulate a plan with what we have....

This is insane.. We drop our interest in Seri which was costing us 40 Million with best years of the player yet to come and sign some old fart for more the money and who has gone past his best years...
