I just really, really, really love the guy and how he plays. He definitely fit our philosophy but it's true that he'd just be 2nd fiddle to Alba. He's been injured this season so honestly, he isn't worth more than 30 so I think 50 million is a bit much. This is why I really didn't get why Grimaldo didn't even get a look on the 1st team despite how promising he looked for the B squad. Not sure, guess Lucho and the staff thought he was still raw and needed experience or he just isn't ready which is surprising to me at least.
Adrian Marin might fit the bill of someone who would be willing to be 2nd choice but could be solid once he does get rotated in. I just think making a move like that is more risky and costly than promoting a youth player and trying him out in a handful of games and situations.

This shit pisses me off. We could have had him last summer when he said he'd swim to Barcelona. Now we have to pay almost double his market price last year all because we had to wait for a bigger club to grab him before we got officially interested. Same shit with Marquinhos and Thiago Silva.
I do sincerely hope we get him though. He's just as dynamic as Messi, at least when comparing their young years.
