Well if you think about it their sky bet has a vested interest in transfer activity and speculation. The article is meh anyway. Nothing in it screams journalistic legwork.

WS has listed aerial duels as Marquinhos' weak point. Can someone who watch him regularly confirm it? The last thing Barca needs is a small aerially weak defender. If we are to overpay on a young prospect, I'd rather Laporte. Would better serve the barca need.

We should go forward with Pique-Bartra, fix up the flanks (particularly RB) and bring in 2 versatile players who can play CB & R/LB.

I personally wouldn't be sad to see Cesc leave if we get a good fee & replacement(s). We can stop pretending Cesc is going to replace Xavi or that he can still play deep like he did alongside Gilberto Silva. Cesc is a great player but for Barcelona all he provides is depth.

It's been 4 years since our last CB signing.

5 years,Mascherano was never signed to be a CB at that time,it was injuries who forced Pep to put him in CB and he liked it that way afterwards
