You really believe that rubbish? Don't be a troll, ok?

i don't even like fc inter, but i think this is a possible scenario and you should watch out from Rossell, already said i'm not trolling in the messi chat, all champions left from barça that's how we see it.

Rosell made public not long ago(last motnh, I guess) that he will never let Messi go anywhere. So now, you can stop.

We need a CB. I hope they spend some of that to get 1 instead of going for Cesc.

Why do you think that mate? We have amazing talents in our youth, Bartra, Fontas and Muniesa have already proven that they can play at the highest level, next season they will get even better so I think we should give them a chance, if not all of them, Fontas then, he is older and stronger then Bartra and Muniesa. Also, Abidal can jump in and do CB work just fine if we need.

They're very highly rated talents but they haven't proven anything yet, maybe Fontas but he played against Almeria when we thrashed them 8-0 so I'm not sure how to rate his game although he was very solid that game. We currently have Puyol, Pique, Milito and Abidal for the center and I don't trust the Marshall(Milito) anymore and when 1 of the others gets injured we're in a lot of trouble.

Also I'm not sure how much Pep trusts Fontas because as for Muniesa and Bartra (just noticed he's 20 so he might make it ) I don't see them making the team until they hit 20 because well that's how he rolls. Even if we don't spend money on a new CB we need to look at our defense for the next season because even though it's very strong currently it's our weakest department.

Financial Situation of FC Barcelona

Hello mates. Hope everyone are having a long great summer relishing the beautiful football and memories that we have enjoyed through out the last season.

But isnt this the right time for us to discuss one of the most important things in terms of sustainity of the club, the financial position and economical situation of FC Barcelona.

Last summer, we came to know about our extensive debts. There had been huge political differences with the new party screaming about the situation and the older party trying to deny them.

I for one sadly havent shown too much interest in financial aspects as much as footballing ones. However having said that, I have come to know that we are in a very futile situation trying to find loans from the banks to pay our stars (last summer?). Also that we are one of the highest in terms of sporting wage bills.

How stable would we be when the so called Financial fair play rules comes into the scenario?. What actions are our clubs taking? How much better are we this year from the last, or is there actually any improvement to the situation at all?

Can anyone provide any information about it. Any proofs of our financial situation and any ideas about the project of our current board in terms of fixing our economical woes? How different is our situation in terms of debts from other owned clubs. How would it affect our members, the club etc.

Cheers and hopefully there was a need for having this thread.

Fourteen and Hutch..
With the Financial Fair Play rules, the debt becomes irrelevant as long the club is working at operating profits and the wages are less than the set parameter of turnover.

All big clubs like Real, Barca United should easily satisfy these rules. Even with top spenders like City and Chelsea there shouldn't be a problem as the rules allow for a breathing space of 45mill Euros for the first couple of years.

Influx of some money in transfers for '11 under Rosell

Bojan 12 million
Oriol 5 million
JDS 1 million?
Soriano €1-2 million?
Jeffren €5 million?
Caceres €3 million (Could escalate to €4.5 million)

Anywhere from €24-28 million when the initial transfer kitty was 'announced' to be €45...Putting the total to around €69-73 million...With Alexis having gone for €26 million, that leaves €43-47 million available...Enough for Cesc & potentially a defensive reinforcement

Maybe but from what Pep said (see Cesc thread), they may save it. Any way, be interesting to see the next financial report. Still think that while it is obvious we have a heavy debt, the impact was overcooked to provide some ammunition against the previous regime

Enough for Cesc, if the team can get a tolerable price. Or enough for something completely different. Maybe not until the winter transfer window or next summer.

This summer is showing that the team is going to be extremely selective in acquisitions. Not just top level talent, but also Barca-type playing styles and egos. Depending on how Adriano does early this season, the next buy (winter) may be a fullback, either a left or who can play on both sides. Fast, young, price will be no object. How about one of the twins at Man U, they certainly have duplication of values? And I'm sure they would acquire a very young keeper with the right potential whenever the opportunity arises.
