Breaking news: all other professional sports games in the US have been boycotted and postponed too. This includes MLB, MLS, and the WNBA

Only Orlando City MLS game is on now due to its early start time before the rest of the MLS teams made their announcement

BREAKING NEWS: Both lakers and clippers have made it clear that they will boycott the rest of the NBA Playoffs if there is not sufficient justice for the shooting of Jacob Blake.

2020 is the craziest year ever, with Messi this week and the NBA playoffs (my 2nd favorite sport to watch) being cancelled it's going to be tough. Good on Lebron for taking social justic action in this country, but I hope he uses this potential time off to protest and speak out to the black community to go and vote in November

At this point I think they should just cancel that season.
Rating is really low, pandemic and players are frustrated from the bubble and already next season is in jeopardy.
Owners won't be able to make real changes anyway.

yep, lets not forget when Daryl Morey spoke about Hong Kong and China threatened to boycott the NBA (which they did) how quick Lebron and other stars talked about the different sides of the argument or not knowing enough about it etc etc

I get it, this is much closer to home for them but still most of them are either hypocrites or only care about their own communities.

And this for what? Because another felon won stupid prize by doing stupid thing by resisting law enforcement. Sportsball blacks siding with criminals, because of racial solidarity lel. Were where their social awareness, when black man shot 5y old kid in the head, because he trespassed his lawn?

Was he a felon though? I havent really followed news but it seems cops tasered him and then shot him. I mean, BLM as a movement arent something i support and I'm against this political crap spilling over into sports but something is wrong with US cops

I do find it ridiculous people are labeling these sportsman (AND WOMAN) 'brave'. I'm pretty sure they are still getting paid their ridiculous wages

He's sex offender (and some other charges besides that), who was trespassing on ground of his ex girlfriend, who called cops on him. Instead of obeying cops, when they arrived, the rushed to his car's front seat, where knife was hidden. There are already more facts coming out about this, but i'm not following all these threads, because they're explosive. It already looks bad for people, who defend him and probably will look even worse later, but press will mostly be silent just like with Floyd's fiasco. Nothing of this matters though because dems will lead their pets to riot no matter what cuz orange man and sheeeit.

yeah, i agree the NBA is parochial since they wont say a word about the Uighurs in China, but again, the black community is mostly the community of NBA players, so they will obviously be more defensive about it.
