So far Lakers have lost Green, Howard, Rondo, Bradley, and most likely KCP too and gained Schroeder, Matthews, and Harrell.

Schroeder is his replacement.
I think Lakers problem is that they replaced defense with offense.
This could cost them badly if the new guys didn't buy into the defensive approach

Hmm that's debatable. Harrell is considered one of the better big man defenders in the league now. He is also one of the very few big defenders in the league that can guard the inside and the 3 point line.

Because surely not the one we are living in, he was one if the worst defenders in the bubble, he can't guard anyone, whether big or small.
He is a regular season scorer, who teams in the playoffs will make a game planto expose his gigantic weaknesses

? Are you mistaking him for another player? He has led the Clippers in defensive ratings for the past two seasons alongside Kawhi and Beverley. You can look this up. Not sure if you are speaking hyperbolically though

Harrell is not a good defender in any way whatsoever. Aside from lacking playmaking and lacking a defensive anchor, the Clippers other problem was that both their key bench guys( Lou Williams and Montrez Harrell) both suck at defence.

Anecdotally, I watched Clippers only during regular season and he was solid defensively. Objectively, statistics shows that he is one of the better defenders in the Clippers.


Also, More Lakers news: We have traded Mcgee and 2nd round pick to Cavs for Jordan bell. This creates cap space to sign Marc Gasol. That trade is imminent/to be announced in hours or tomorrow morning.
