 poor Witsel & Mertens just wanted some quality time together. Also funny the fact that they're watching commercials 3 times when showing the tv.

hahahah that pic is hilarious..

Belgium is a true darkhorse along with Columbia for the World Cup in my books!

Not at all. Funny tho. A year ago I was preaching that Belgium was seriously underrated. At the moment, they're getting seriously overrated.
True, Belgium never had this much talent. But there are huge issues with this squad.

1. The lack of great full backs. We're playing with 2 center backs there, and it tells. Definitly going forward. Our wingers, like Hazard, have the tendency to drift inside and opening up the space at the flanks for the full backs. However, unlike at their clubs, Belgium's full backs hardly ever overlap.

2. Lack of a tactical concept. It's just a great bunch of players thrown together. There is no cohesian at all between the players. We generate our chances by individual pieces of brilliance or big mistakes from the opponent. You hardly see any chances created by Belgium where they work the ball and create openings. The Belgium FA also f'd up big time by appointing Wilmots, and Borkelmans as his assistant. Neither achieved anything as a club coach, even more, they were both absolutely dreadfull and got their teams relegated. Everyone is however singing Wilmots praises for the way qualifying is going, but with this lot of players, that hardly deserves any praise.

3. The players themselves don't complement eachother well. Especially in midfield we lack a great playmaker. Fellaini, an excellent player, can't move the ball around well enough. Witsel and Dembele neither have that great long ball...

We're a very long way off from teams like Germany, Brazil and Spain. Even against a team as Holland we'd struggle massively because they do have tactical concept all players are proficient in. And ofcourse a pretty great coach to work with.

I don't agree the fullbacks are a problem (anymore). Vertonghen does great in my opinion, we have a good backup with Pocognoli and even Lombaerts played left back when he was younger. Alderweireld has improved in his new right back role. I believe our problems are mainly tactical, Fellaini should never be in the team. He always slows down the attacks. There is still room for improvement.
