Benjamin Mendy (born 17 July 1994) is a French professional footballer who plays as a left back for Premier League club Manchester City and the France national team.


Out for a couple of months with a serious injury. Saw that there was no thread of him and just wanted to say that his Twitter account is absolute gold.

Could be a comedian after his football career is over too. His callout on Duncan Castles was brilliant this past week.

Oh man, imagine Semedo and Mendy combo at fullback. whew!

Incredible player !

Already 3 assists after 2 BPL days, crazy activity on his left flank... And the guy was injured the whole last season.
He'll quickly become the best LB in the world at this rate.

He's an outstanding player that will keep getting better as the season progresses and he gets into his best shape after that torn ACL.

Controlled that entire flank by himself and his pure crossing must be the best I've seen from a FB in a long time.

Funny enough, when he signed for Marseille, his first few months were terrible. Their coach back then (none other than Marcela Bielsa) said he'd become the best left back in the world someday, and many journalists and experts thought he was joking. Not many people believed in him at the time. Good call by Bielsa.
