But i thought his clause was 60M? The rumours say 35M to Bayern...so which one is right? There were strong rumours that Stuttgart won't sell for less than 60M this season, so i don't exactly see his release clause being just 35M, since it doesn't make any sense to demand 60M then. Let's face it, Bayern will get another great young talent from the Bundesliga under price and guarantee his signature one season early, if only our Board would be capable of doing the same with anyone ever...most recently De Ligt and De Jong for example.

Release clause is apparently at 35M. The 60M were the speculated price for this summer.

The clause might be a bit low but tbh its still good money and i guess nobody expected him to get focused by big clubs that fast. Signed when they were 2nd division, then extended last December i don't remember anyone worrying about release clauses back then or thinking about a transfer to a top 10 club.

Would agree that German clubs need to be more careful tho, everything is going too fast these days with young players. But i guess often enough its necessary to keep the player, Schalke loses one young good player after another for example. Keeping talents isn't easy. Still should have gone for more, just to be safe.

I think he'll stay another year, and then leave to Bayern. It just seems too logical this will happen. A versatile CB on a cheap release clause who has already played Bundesliga. And Bayern is looking for defenders when Boateng leaves, I just can't see them ignoring him.

Also keep an eye out for Stuttgart, they're doing damn fine with their transfers, can see them finishing on a European place next season.

Looks like Pavard is the new target.

Every day a new target arises. To be fair he is a bit overhyped, and we are slowly becoming FC France so I'd rather we stick with De Ligt.

All over the place. Some day it's De Ligt, another day some unknown french kid, now this. I'm afraid we'll put our eggs in every basket and end up with nothing or the worse option.

As for Pavard, i don't know squat other that what I've seen in the WC. Good player but not sure he is what we need. We need a guy with leadership qualities to take over and command our defense.

Great news if true. However, shouldn't ruin our relations with Bayern.

Nonsense.

Nonsense.

It's only normal that we have multiple targets.

In this case? I don't give a shit about Bayern. It's not like they own him. It's fair game for us or any other team to go for him.

In general. They're a club who cares about it, does business that way. Don't know if there's an agreement with Bayern.

Apparently not. They should've made the transfer earlier like Liverpool did with Keita if they didn't want any risks.

Oh no doubt. I'm just afraid of going after every half decent guy and ending up with nothing or the worse option because we dilly dallied around until they got tired of it and signed for another team.

Just hope the board and Abidal know what they are doing and tbf, at least when it comes to defenders, it seems that they know their stuff.

His team is in the relegation zone and have conceded 35 goals (2nd most). Has anyone actually watched him this season?
