Why wasn't there a thread on this player. He consistently puts in good performances and is very very humbled. Not as popular as Neymar unfortunately. I think he is the dark horse for the Selecao. I am happy he got called up for Confederations Cup. Let's see what he does.

He looked good on that video, but to call him a better player than Gotze seems a bit too much.
I mean they are of the same age and the one is playing a CL final, after having won two Bundesliga titles and 22 caps with a much better national team than Brazil and the other one is spending half his season playing against mediocre semi-professional teams and has just one appearance with Brazil.

i am speaking from a personal perspective about his technical capacities as a footballer really.

Bernard isn't at the levels of Gotze but at the same time you can't always write a player off just because they play in Brazil. Bernard's style would flourish in both Europe and Brazil. A guy like Neymar on the other hand can't do half the stuff he would always try to do against top notch defenses.
