Iker is fantastic but in his prime, Buffon is/was just jaw dropping.

Yes Ed!...Been one of my favourite goalkeepers for ages now....He is as you said very underrated and if played for a top team would be considered upper bracket IMO.

He is so consistent as is Friedel and Given. They are so underrated particularly Jaaskelainen who is bordering on world class.

You beat me to it Viva, I was going to mention Friedel, he's very good too, saved Blackburn many a time in the past. Frey is very good too IMO.

It's such a shame about Cech, he was awesome in his first 2 years at Chelsea but that injury to his head really did affect him badly. His reflexes aren't what they used to be and he looks afraid to come out for crosses at times. I don't think he was ever going to be as good as Buffon or Casillas, but he would have been at least on par with how Julio Cesar is right now, if not better. Shame shame.

Cech is still a good goalkeeper. I think the incident at Euro 2008 has badly affected his confidence as well.

He's still better than most, but he had the potential to be a definite top 3 for a good part of his career. Now guys who weren't anywhere near him, like Reina, Valdes and some others are above him.
