For me, personally, even though this is not an official world cup song..... Or not even made for the world cup per se, it t otally dominated the actually world cupsong that waka waka was

I was 14 when La Copa De La Vida was out and it was literally everywhere. People would go around starting "go go go" and others would immediately pick up and continue "ale ale ale". Such an anthem and people still remember it to this day. Nothing remotely close happened to Waka Waka, cause it's so much weaker in comparison.

Waka Waka was annoying af.

What I never understood was how Ricky Martin got away with releasing basically the same song twice.

La Copa de la Vida and Livin' La Vida Loca are identical.
