With all the hate Cesc has been getting through the season it's funny to see him beating Xavi 8-3 in the voting.

Maybe because people compare the Xavi of nowadays with the one 2-3 years ago and see how much he has declined compared to his standards. So even though he has 91,2% pass accuracy per game , him not having over 25 assists in a season and a certain amount of goals makes some people take what he has to offer today for granted.
