Looked it up but couldn't find a thread about one of Barca's home town team.
Borussia was a force during the 1970's and won five Bundesliga titles and two UEFA-Cups while reaching another three european cup finals.
After nearly two decades of fighting relegation or being relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga the german side has become a stable Bundesliga outfit again qualifying for Europe three out of the last four seasons and making it to the CL for the upcoming campaign.
All that even though the club is known to lose their best players year after year to bigger/financially more wealthier clubs.
Just during the past couple of years guys like Marco Reus, Dante, Roman Neustädter, Marc ter Stegen, Christoph Kramer and Max Kruse have gone this route and a guy like Granit Xhaka will most likely join that list within a year or two, joining guys like Matthäus, Effenberg or even Patrick Andersson.
Anyways, there are quite a few interesting young players already in the pipeline to take over once given their chance, which is the clubs philosophie.
The current squad looks like that:
------------------Drmic-----------Raffael--------------
-Johnson-------------------------------------Traoré---
--------------------Xhaka------Stindl------------------
-Wendt---------Christensen----Schulz--------Jantschke-
------------------------Sommer-------------------------
Though, there are quite a few rotational possibilities with guys like Herrmann, Hazard, Hahn, Dahoud, Nordtveit, Stranzl, Brouwers, Korb, Hrgota etc. on the bench and ready to go.
So let's have some fun discussing everything Borussia, if you're interested.
