Isn't he more a b2b midfielder than a DM?

Still a small sample but with how FDJ has played in a "new role" in last two games I think we should target someone who would keep his position more and do a "dirty work" defensively and not another b2b midfielder.

I know stats can be misleading sometimes but Busi has more interceptions and tackles than Soumare. And Camavinga has twice as many tackles despite him also playing more in a box to box midfielder role this season.

Not saying we couldn't use Soumare, especially if we could get him far under his market value but I really want that midfield "destroyer" and I'm not sure he's one. Getting one will probably need to wait till 2022 as I think a CB and a new striker will be our priorities next summer.

I agree with you. However, I think we should get either a physical box to box/ pure CDM, at least 185cm. Sander Berge (box to box, always running) and Declan Rice (smart and aggressive, can shoot) are great options, but they are expensive, unfortunately.

Give SB a chance tonight and watch him play against MUFC if you have time.

He has been awful for them this season.

Rice is decent but just seemed lined up for Chelsea sooner rather than later.
