I thought it was a bit closer than that, but had it for Usyk who was the one who kept pushing the pace.

Fury didn't really use that extra weight to his advantage.

It was closer indeed..

Fury biggest mistake is staying passive wayyy too much after his fury wilder 2. That was his prime, physically and mentally.. instead of fighting the best of the best he kept fighting once in a blue moon and wasted his prime years. Fury nowadays looks like an old Fury simply. (And I'm not talking age as a number, because different athletes age differently. Usyk is aging fine for example ).

On the plus side, it was a half-redemption from Fury I thought. He was very focused and serious and give Usyk a fight. In the end he came short.

It's not a matter of pushing the pace necessarily but throwing more.. usyk as the lighter fighter with the better stamina was always going to throw more punches.. Fury was too conservative in some rounds especially the last 2.

7-5 Usyk in my opinion. Fury had moments but never could really build on them.

Usyk landed 42% of his shots compared to Fury's 28%. Fury looked a little out of ideas in rounds 6,7 and 8 but had a good 9 and 10.

I saw all rounds live. As you, I had no favorites. 116-112 awarded to Usyk is a joke. Maybe I saw a different fight.
I agree about the score.. it was much tighter.. but I have seen the same fight. Usyk threw more punches .. and he cleaned all of the last rounds. At the end of the day.. boxing , ko aside, is judged literally by the thrown punches and nobody is going to outpunch usyk. He throws too many. Fury biggest weakness is having light hands for his size. He really des have light hands. For his size he should have looked for damage not points (chisora usyk is an example of heavy hands ) dubois has more of a chance to win because the boy has power. I hope usyk gives him a rematch

Fury didn't let the right go. Felt he was too worried about getting knocked on the whiskers. And also everytime he went Southpaw he got the worst of the exchanges.

Didn't score but overall assumption was more rounds went to Usyk.

Best route to beat Usyk was the mid rounds of the first fight. Press forward with volume and hard to the body. Of course easier said than done against all time great technician. And you need a huge engine to keep that up for 12 (unless Usyk wilts first with the body shots).

Don't really fancy a third, put Usyk with Joshua and then let them both call it a day after a big money two or three fights.

Usyk has nothing more to prove. Dubois rematch if he comes through Parker makes the most sense.
