this cup showed many that you could put any coach on that 2002 team and they would have won it all. That team was just loaded with legends, it was almost impossible for them to lose. Scolari gets alot of credit for 02. He should of retired, this 7-1 defeat will define his career forever now. Scolaris defense against germany was lost, david luiz was out of positions always and when he was in positions he didnt know who to cover. Marcelo n fernandinho were weak links and taken advantage of, i had my hopes scolari would have benched marcelo after that own goal.

To be fair, the 2002 team had a easy path to the finals and Scolari did make a good tactical change in Kleberson for Juninho. Let's not forget the struggles that team had before Scolari entered the picture. So, I think it's wrong to say that anybody could of coach that team to championship when history have proven that to be false. Yes, you need talent but you also need a defined system and organization which is what a coach provides. 2006 team was far more talented and deeper than the 2002 team but as a team, they were pathetic. A flawed system, misuse of players and lack of discipline and we all saw the end result.

Scolari has some blame for what happened in 2014 but it shouldn't diminish his previous accomplishments IMO.

Actually, He is really good coach

"Really good" is a bit too much, imo. He's no master tactician, but he can do the basics.

Btw, Felipao did not resign, cbf just made it look like that. He found out cbf had fired him after they did... According to the press he is very hurt, as marin had assured he would continue, even after losing to holland.

in the history of brazil football never have we been so humiliated 7 goal against the CBF, that is an inexcuable imo. I dont put all the blame on scolari but he takes the bulk of it, with neymar out, david luiz should have been a statue back there, instead scolari has him pushing up all game leaving dante back there by himself. Also, if u know the germany are going to be pushing up with everything, why put fernandinho in the middle leaving it wide open?? fernandinho failed to intercept several balls in the middle that led to goals. Bad adjustments imo. We needed good defense to have beat germany, scolari didnt prepare the team.
