What happens in Bundesliga is irrelevant to Champions League. No team in Bundesliga except Bayern is good enough to even pass the last 16 in CL. Meeting Barcelona or Real Madrid is much tougher than anything Bayern can experience in Bundesliga.

I'd say Bayern with the best squad available is on par with Barcelona and Madrid. That being said, they still lack a player like Messi and Ronaldo. A great team, but one without a generational player.

But football is a team sport and that's what makes Bayern fearsome, that they don't just rely on one or two players to score a boat load of goals for them, their attack is pretty balanced. Of course they will feel the impact if one of their star players (such as Robben) is out, but not remotely close to what we and Madrid will have to cope if we don't have Messi or Ronaldo.

Just saw the highlights (sadly I could only watch the last 20 minutes)... that long ball from Boateng to Müller... whoa :)

Yea, but both Barca and Real are both about the team and the individuals. The 5-0 in 2014 was a complete team performance, from Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, to Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema. Same way with Barca. The 3-0 was both a collective world class performance and a collection of brilliant moments from Messi first, and Neymar 2nd.

Robben is an uncertainty right now. He's starting to get injured a lot, and we might very well see him more injured than healthy for the next 1-2 years.

Results in October have nothing to do with the outcome of the CL. Bayern is destroying every opponent right now because they punish every mistake. Especially currently when players like Lewa, Müller etc. are on form. That is an attribute world class teams possess.
But only in CL they will face opponents (Barca, Real and maybe PSG) that will have a first eleven as strong as Bayern who will not allow those little mistakes. Impossible to tell now who will win those duels that will take place in half a year.

Yes, but unfortunately Bayern has found Robbery's prefect replacement in Coco (Costa-Coman).

That is to be decided later in the season. It's not the games vs Bundesliga teams that made Robben and Ribbery great at Bayern. It's the performances against Europe's best. I won't buy the Costa and Coman hype until I see them against that kind of opposition.

To be honest, the only intimidating player from Bayern is Lewandowski. I think he is one of the best 10 strikers from the last 10 years.

You really seem to be thinking too much in terms of FIFA/PES and too little in actual football, sorry to be so blunt.

I'd add Mueller and Costa.

Enough said on Mueller already. Costa, albeit being more or less of an one-trick-pony, is an awesome one-trick-pony with his fast pace and lethal crosses.

Goetze also has improved this season.

On the other hand, Thiago has been very average, great to see that. :) Vidal who has such a repulsive face along with Mueller, hasn't been that great either in my opinion.

I fail to see how that is a problem.

One problem is that Bayern's team won't be remembered over years because there won't be a player tied to that specific part of history. Like Madrid being talked about for Di Stefano, Benfica for Eusebio, Barca for Messi, Argentina 86 for Maradona, Brazil for Pele etc. Bayern will drop in that class of teams that won things playing great football, but falling just short of legendary status, because that performance isn't tied to something that will last the test of time: like the aura of a generational player. So, one thing would be place in history.
