Funny thing is that Bayern make themselves weaker in the late part of the season by buying Dortmund's stars.

The 50+1 Rule needs to go, its a dictatorship from Bayern in the German League.Lets hope Nasser Al-Khelaifi buys 1club in Germany and rescue the bundesliga from bayern

That would still take years and look at PSG or Shitty. They still cannot be considered of the top tier of European football clubs, which Bayern clearly are.

"Who will win the Bundesliga this season?" Is that even a serious question?

Dortmund, the main rival of Bayern München, is currently "only" 30 points behind after 17 games!

Pathetic is it not? Imagine FCB being 30 points behind RM after just 17 league games.

The Bundesliga, as much as it has been improving in the past few seasons, is still a one-horse race. Just look at the historic winners of the Bundesliga. FFS, 1. FC Nürnberg are still second in terms of league titles won (9) despite last winning the title back in 1967-1968. One of Bayerns main rivals (Schalke 04) have only won the league title 7 times and the last time they won it was in 1958! A few months before Pelé appeared on the world stage in other words.

That monopoly is not going to end either unless Bayern München goes bankrupt which is probably never going to happen.

It's boring as hell. I mean how interesting can it be to watch who ends 3 or 4? Are Leverkusen, Schalke 04 and Wolfsburg really such exciting clubs? They won nothing in Europe for years if ever. Don't bother googling. Yeah, you probably got it by now…

I do like Bayern and have followed them for the past 10 years or so in the Bundesliga but even I a sympathizer got to admit the above.

News flash: Some people might like certain clubs despite them not winning titles.

You don't have to state the obvious. "Some people" here are mostly local Germans. Does not change the facts I wrote. Besides I was referring to the average neutral football fan when I wrote that. I doubt that their prime interest is whether Leverkusen or Schalke 04 ends as a distant 3 or 4 team in the league. Their primary concern is who wins the damn thing. Like anywhere else.

Most of us complain about the newly rich clubs but we can't deny that they are improving their respective leagues in quality and excitement. Look at the PL for instance. You got an insane depth of top teams that are potential league winners. City and Chelsea are to thank for that.

Similarily in France. Now you got PSG, Monaco alongside the other "traditional" top clubs such as Marseille, Saint-Etienne, Lyon etc.

That's why I personally welcomed Málaga getting bought by that rich Qatari Sheikh and Valencia being bought by Lin. Although they are not at the level of Man City, PSG and that Qatari since leaving altogether or pulling most of the strings out at least.

Hell let some rich Arab, Russian, American etc. buy up Espanyol for all I care. That would be exciting. Off-topic in any way and I do apologize.

Ding, ding, ding... and we have a glory hunter.

Stating facts has nothing to do with being a "glory hunter". It seems to me that you have difficulties with written English. I am not a fan of any German club. I solely have sympathy for Bayern. Does not prevent me from seeing problems that any sane person can see.

Kindly quit the trolling as it won't work on me.

In the last 10 years there were 5 different champs btw.
4 in Spain, 4 in England.

Bayern is very dominant right now but this will not be forever.

Yeah but Bayern is much stronger now then back then.
The current situation is bad this will be the third year were they walk the league. If atleast a Team would be somewhere close it would be ok.
But i don´t think much will Change in the coming years.

I count 3. And only Dortmund were able to main their level and keep their players. Stuttgart as a champion were a joke and with Wolfsburg, after they became champions their star players and Magath went to other clubs. Never again did they challenge again for the title. England and Spain maybe had the same numbers but those teams were challenging for the title every year.

Generally, I like the Bundesliga and in terms of tactics and intensity it's probably the best league in the world, but the dominance of Bayern means there is no title race which downgrades the league a lot in terms of excitement since many people outside Germany simply want to see an exciting title race. Also doesn't help that most German teams are a joke in the Champions or Europa League.

The same way I only watch the top matches in the Premier League. There are many which is why people think it's the best league in the world, even though the quality of the matches is often extremely bad considering how much more financial resources the teams have, compared to other leagues.

Freiburg 2:0 ahead of Hannover at home, with 10 minutes left to play. If the result holds, BVB will be the bottom of the table before the winter break.

Don't really understand why Freiburg ended up this low in the table, they played very well whenever I watched them, even when they played against Bayern.

Freiburg is a very inexperienced and fragile team. They have to sell their best players every year and are on a very low budget. Christian Streich is a really good coach who manages to keep them in the league.
They did not had any easy wins. Good example today: They score in the 80th minute and go up 2:0 only to concede 3 minutes later.

I really like the club and hope they will stay in the league but it it going to be very close until the end of the season.
