Well, 4 goals (2 of them against Burnley 19th and Sheffield 20th) last season in 39 games isn't exactly a goal scorer in my opinion. The season before he also scored 4 in 40 games.
He's also 29, in a couple of years he'll start to decline. We need stability on the DM position, a player with a potential 5-10 years I'd say.
Palhinha would have been exactly a Barto signing, expensive without resale value, gonna decline soon and will earn a big salary because he is in his prime. I'm glad that we didn't had real interest to be honest.
