Carles Perez

He's got balls, hunger and heart. He believes in his ability to dribble and score. In that aspect he's exactly like Pedro, direct and fearless.

I don't remember Pedro's debut, but I can't imagine he didn't lose the ball when he tried to dribble. It's only natural.

Talent isn't the best but he can become a good squad player no doubt.

Yep. Direct, fearless, hard working and FAST.

It's interesting that he seems to do much better with the first team as well.

If Perez can develop into a Pedro or even a Nolito then we have a great squad player. He is much more limited on the left-side so when Messi is back his opportunities will be smaller though.

On the other hand that goal was exquisite. The touch to create separation, the placement on the finish. If you did not concentrate on the player you would mistake it for Messi.

I am sorry to say, but most people just seem to look at the shirt number and nothing more. I hadn't seen this guy play so much and from what people were saying, he was a Segunda player at most. That's not what he has been presenting us with. Take out the price tags, and he is way more useful for this team than Dembele is.

I' m not saying he will ever be a world-beater, but neither was pedro, who played a huge role in this teams' success.

Expectations and "Barca Quality Player" narratives have gone way overboard.

In what world is Pedro not a 'world beater' ?

In the sense that he is not Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, Salah, Hazard type of player. His price has always been close to 20m throughout his whole career and was never considered the kind of player that you build your team around.
For me he was excellent and I love this kind of players.

Carles Perez in a nutshell. He's either very good or fucking awful. Today he was both lol.

Good cross for Fati's goal. Still, he is a dumb and a mediocre player. Pedro is/was light years ahead in the football iq department.

Had an opportunity to win the game for us and failed.

Hard to slag the guy who literally assisted both of our goals, though.
