Think the closest from the top of my head is Mourinho having won in Portugal, England, Italy and Spain.
A really impressive CV for Mr. Ancelotti even if he doesn't win the Spanish league imo.

Keeper covers for a lot of the mistakes. Until he doesn't

Sees the house of cards slowly fold with every sub
Team will get mangled by a side weaker than elite, say Ajax, if he doesn't fix it

Previous season (16/17) he won the league with Bayern.
If he wins La Liga only Mou will have a slightly comparable record across major European domestic leagues.
But Mou hasn't won in Germany and France, he has Portugal, but Carlo's looks more impressive

tbh the only thing i remember about ancelotti's stint with bayern is the 3-1 away to PSG and his sacking immediately afterwards well, it looks like hell get his liga this term. his CV will look phenom with it for sure

The overall sentiment is that Carlo's lack of rotation will cost them in Jan-February as it did the last time. However, La Liga clubs are too shit to capitalize on this so I think Madrid wins it anyway. CL is a different story, and there are many teams that can hurt them.

We'll probably win the league. As long as goalscorers stay healthy. Weren't even far off it last year with 60 injuries
Team is better than last year and Atleti still relying on Suarez's fat ass to a significant degree.
Biggest doubt that many RM fans are sorta glossing over is how it translates vs elite, on form, athletic sides. CKM pinging passes around doesn't mean we'll do any better than year prior or perform vs City/Bayern
Is why I'd like to see us go up vs PSG in Feb - will be the best measuring stick for top top sides without having to face them immediately while walloping weak ass Liga teams in days leading up to it leading to false sense of security

real-psg would be a good match for both sides, as psg hasnt exactly fired on all cylinders this season and real, while playing well and winning consistently, have yet to meet a 'truly' 'strong' team... it would be an even match-up, likely to go either way. a proper test for both

They have been awful so far, and the football they have managed to play is a far cry from the best football in Europe.
Let alone the 'holy quartet' of City-Liverpool-Chelsea-Bayern, there are other medium-size teams in CL that play much much better than PSG right now

And if Ragnink does a good job, United might be much stronger come February

Just feels the right opponent to go against, find out where exactly RM is as a side, test vs an elite trio of attackers who will come out fighting for team's life in a fixture they wait all season long for, while at the same time RM have chance to beat a big team in 2 legs without outright coming into the tie as underdogs.
People forget teams grow into CL very often. As side is now better, a good showing in R16 would help to build confidence for QF if City or Liverpool were next up rather than facing them head on. Both are likely to come in fairly confident as embroiled in a competitive league battle as opposed to RM who may very well keep the cushion in La Liga and have to raise level for CL. Lowkey what PSG have to do every year, but fail as no experience of overcoming a tough opponent in the side.
And folk know it doesn't happen easily. This ain't the 17/18 side where you have CR coming up clutch when team is struggling. Benz is grand but not a guarantee of a goal. And elite managers will know they have to shut Vini down so cant count on that either.

Whatever case there is to be made against him, can't argue team looks better in autumn this year under him than any season in the past 2-3 years. Maybe it's Pintus return, maybe it's Carlo being a different hand to guide Asensio and Vini. But so far bigger games he got right (even if you can argue Barca and Atleti were poor so far). Just needs to not choke this away and I have my doubts.
