Carlos Tevez

I'm telling you right now... city.

this has nothing to do with what tevez wants.

tevez WANTS to stay at old trafford, didn't you see him crying on saturday? but they're not paying what kia wants so that's why there's a transfer saga in the first place. therefore he will go to whomever pays the ridiculous fee and offers the ridiculous wages. and despite all the paper talk about liverpool they don't have that kind of money or wage-power and even if they did there's no way they'd give it to tevez and risk upsetting gerrard and torres.

if I have to guess I'd say benitez is fucking with fergie, trying to freak him out that tevez may end up at liverpool so that he wastes 26m on buying lil' charlie when his squad is in dire need of a winger.

Its starting to get a little boring this story isnt it he either stays or goes the club will roll on even without him .

Beside the lad has in my opinion got away with some huge insults to the club really not many have managed to avoid the fans anger.

What kind of insults? I always thought Tevez was the Manc's golden boy?

He said something to Maradona like "that old man doesn't like me", he also came out with "if I play well he will put me on the bench the next game" and said he didn't feel part of a family at United.

Most of the United fans I know love him, but the moment he signs for Liverpool or anyone else they will hate him and say he was rubbish anyway

Shut it you dick he is a great player but no player is bigger than Fergie and if fergie thinks were better suited without him thats it .

30million is too much money plain and simple

I know loads of fans who think he is a fucking cry baby who should be gratefull he is at a club like united and get on with it.

Chill mate, I think he will stay at United anyway. I just think they are trying to lower the price as much as they can.

It's not just United fans that do that either, alot of fans would do the same.

Why do fans you know think he is a cry baby?

At 25 he's not exactly young and he's on the bench for the big matches as fergie prefers Berbatov. So you can't really blame him for not wanting to stay. He gives 100% every game even though he "wants" to leave, that is the the sign of a true pro.

To call Tevez a "cry baby" is way too harsh for wanting to play first team football. IMO

this year he's got 5 league goals in 18 starts,compared to carrick who's got 4 in 24.
neither are oustanding amounts, obviously, but it's not the best return for a forward.

his complaints about not playing are a bit off too cos he's started the 4th or 5th highest amount of matches for us this season.

i don't think he's worth the 32m,but i thought i'd read that our 10m for the last 2 years made it 22m if we wanted him.

i love his work rate but his 1st touch is like a set of railings this year and he's been poor compared to last year.

i think there's a fair chance he'll stay IF saf wants him too,but it's hard to tell if he'll let him go,and rely on macheda, wellbeck and maybe manucho (if he comes back from hull) or go for someone else.

I think he'll go (to city) and fergie will sign a winger.

he'll give macheda and welbeck more games and use this winger to basically increase your productivity (which is impeded right now coz you generally only play with one winger and one trier/waster) and if need be ronaldo will go up-front while this winger stays wide.

I suspect the winger will be valencia.

I worry it will be ribery.

you could well be right Meta,we've scored a lot less than usual this season, and apparently the valencia deal is "done" according to some papers.

is the trier/waster a park/nani combo? :D

why the worry about ribery? do you want him at barca cos you think he's ace,or don't think he's good enough for united?

he might start to give tosic a run as well, instead of nani, who might have burnt his bridges with some of the performances he's put in this year .

and i still think that if saf wants to keep carlitos,he'll be able to persuade him to stay.

Tevez is vastly over rated by people. I have seen him play for us for two seasons and he isn't as good as some people make out. Before he came to us, he was excellent whenever I saw him play for Argentina. He had an excellent touch, was quick and was a deadly finisher. But after moving to England, he lost his Latin flair.

He isn't very fast. Rooney is faster than him.
He has a poor touch. That's right people, a poor touch. Rooney and Ronaldo have a better touch than him. Berbatov is light years ahead.
His finishing is atrocious.

He has decent close control, good technique, is strong, and has excellent work rate. That's about it.

Wow, that's super! Cause' right now the only thing that Eto'o has is an excellent work rate, so Tevez would actually be a superstar if he has "decent close control, good technique and that he is strong" And I'm sorry to say, but that isn't really a joke cause' the last 10 or so matches Eto'o has been terrible (if you think about it, he hasn't really been that good the rest of the season either). Eto'o is supposed to be one of the best strikers you can get your hands on, but right now he only has a good work rate. A good work rate? We could get a player for free that has a good work rate.

I would be amazed if he went Liverpool or City he's got guts to jump from a rivals ship.

Tevez : 51 games ( about half were starts ) 15 goals
Berbatov : 41 games ( almost all starts ) 14 goals

Neither are great goal getters but for work ethic, fitness and likeability Tevez wins hands down. For slickness, first touch and assists Berbatov wins hands down.
